Beach Haven Fun Run/Walk
Calliope has partnered with the Beach Haven Fun Run organizers offering our services as course managers. The aim of the organizers is to promote our track networks and get people in the community out there and active with funds raised put towards developing these networks (particularly connecting Tui Park and Shepherds Park).
Held in March, the venue is Shepherds Park with both a 1km and a 5km course. The 1km ( buggy friendly ) course is held within the park itself, whilst the longer course is partially on the footpath and partially through the adjoining bush reserve.
Calliope members set out the two courses, supply marshals, take the entries on the day and assist where required.
