Kaipatiki Primary Schools Athletics Events

​Over the past few years Calliope has provided assistance to the seven primary schools in the Kaipatiki area to run an annual athletic sports day. Calliope club members have set out track and field equipment plus providing a barbecue for the  200 plus pupils competing in the various events, the actual co-ordination of which is undertaken by the school teachers.
The club makes no charge for the use of their facilities, equipment and the club members expertise and time, as this is considered a worthwhile community event.
